Role Overview
As the Technical Director - Google Cloud for the EMEA region, you will be responsible for driving and growing the Google Cloud business across EMEA. This pivotal role involves developing strategic initiatives, executing growth plans, and establishing a strong foundation for Google Cloud services within this diverse market. A deep network within Google Cloud, whether directly or through partner relationships, will be essential to fostering business expansion and establishing strong partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Growth: Own and drive the strategic growth of the Google Cloud business, ensuring alignment with the unique market needs of EMEA.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to establish and scale the Google Cloud business within EMEA.
- Network Leveraging: Utilize a deep network within Google Cloud, including direct relationships and partnerships, to drive business development.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify new business opportunities, engage customers, and deliver innovative cloud solutions.
- Technical Leadership: Maintain high-level expertise in Google Cloud, actively engage with industry events, and stay connected with EMEA-specific developments in the field.
- Governance & Compliance: Define and implement governance frameworks aligned with organizational values, ethics, and compliance standards, acting as a key contact for regulatory authorities in EMEA.
- Consultancy Management: Lead advisory services, providing guidance to consultants and clients, managing projects, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Customer Engagement and Support: Collaborate to influence product and service offerings in response to EMEA market needs and ensure effective customer support for solution adoption and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Google Cloud Expertise: Proven track record in driving Google Cloud business with deep connections in Google Cloud, either through direct relationships or partnerships.
- EMEA Market Experience: Experience building and scaling a business in the EMEA region, with strong strategic planning and execution skills.
- Governance & Compliance: Proficiency in governance, risk, compliance, or security frameworks, particularly within the EMEA regulatory environment.
- Professional Background: Bachelor’s degree with additional qualifications in business, engineering, or related fields (e.g., MSc, MBA). Extensive consulting and leadership experience, with the ability to manage complex assignments and drive impactful change.
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels within diverse cultural contexts.
- Technical & Strategic Knowledge: Recognized expertise in technical specialisms within Google Cloud, broad IT knowledge, and the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives.
