For a client opportunity, we are seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support HR administrative tasks for the Nordic countries, including Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless and accurate payroll operations and contributing to overall business performance. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating monthly with an external payroll provider for payroll input and coordination.
- Ensuring payroll practices comply with labor laws and tax regulations in relevant regions.
- Managing payroll-related aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Generating payroll reports for internal analysis and preparing monthly HR reports for Finance and HR KPI dashboards.
- Tracking employee attendance, managing timesheets, and overseeing HR transactional activities such as sickness administration, insurance, tax, and pension administration.
- Administering employee information accurately, including work hours, salary adjustments, and benefits.
- Calculating and processing employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement contributions, and other deductions.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential payroll records and documentation.
An experience that matters: Your Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll or a related field.
- Excellent command of English plus proficiency in either Swedish or Norwegian; working knowledge of Danish is a plus.
- Alternatively, strong familiarity with employment legislation in Nordic countries alongside fluency in English.
- Proficiency in payroll software, spreadsheets, and other specialized tools.
- Thorough understanding of employee benefit plans.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or a related field.
